Housing Quality Standards (HQS) inspections must be performed on the HUD-52580 or the 52580-A inspection form.
The current effective date of the inspection form is 4/2023.
It is important that the inspector familiarizes themselves with all the data gathering requirements of the inspection form.
The 52580-A is a longer copy of the inspection form that explains all fields from the 52580.
Although it is not necessary to use the longer copy, it is a great tool for new inspectors and is highly recommended.
