Founded in 2015 by owner Alejandro Dominguez, UPCS Inspectors LLC is a full service inspection company that specializes in annual inspections, NSPIRE training, and REAC consultation for the housing industry. In addition, UPCS Inspectors LLC is a contract vendor for the US Department of HUD Real Estate Assessment Center (REAC).
Prior to becoming a HUD certified UPCS Inspector, Alejandro served as Community Director for the Housing Authority of the City of Austin, where he was responsible for the oversight of multiple public housing communities and the implementation of community development programs. In that role, he developed and administered multi-million dollar annual budgets, managed housing staff, and successfully prepared for over 30 high performance inspections.
Previously, Alejandro performed Management and Occupancy Review (MOR) audits of Project Based Section 8 properties for Southwest Housing Compliance Corporation with portfolios ranging from 5,493 units (Dallas) to 7,221 units (Houston). In addition, Alejandro has received multiple senior professional designations from the National Association of Housing and Redevelopment Officials, the Texas Real Estate Commission, and the American Apartment Association. Alejandro has served in the real estate industry since 1999.
In his free time, Alejandro pursues any opportunity that fosters collaborative success. He has served on the Community Board of Adult Protective Services, volunteered as a Classroom Coach with Austin Partners in Education, and co-developed the Financial Empowerment in the Workplace pilot program for Bank-On Central Texas. He is a 2010 graduate of Hispanic Austin Leadership through the Greater Austin Hispanic Chamber of Commerce. Alejandro received his Bachelors in Business Administration from The University of Texas at Austin in 2000.
In September 2017, UPCS Inspectors LLC was recognized as an outstanding business partner by HUD REAC at their industry meeting. Alejandro’s experience as a successful property management professional and as an inspector provides him a unique perspective that most in the industry do not have.
