New Change to Bed Bug Protocol
Effective 2/1/16, bed bug units are no longer exempt from REAC inspections. Before the start of the inspection, property staff must provide the inspector with a list of all active bed bug units. The inspector will mark all units in the inspection software and call the REAC Technical Assistance Center for a TAC number. After the inspection sample is generated, the inspector must enter in bed bug unit that shows up in the sample. Previously, the inspector would have been allowed to select an alternate unit, but this is no longer acceptable.
