Content and Exam

Day 1 (8:30AM-4:30PM)

• UPCS History and Background (why a good score matters).
• Explanation of UPCS Scoring (don’t waste time and money on items that will not affect your score).
• Overview of Inspector Tasks and Conduct (how to maintain control of the inspection).
• UPCS deficiencies and the five inspected areas (site, units, exteriors, common areas, and systems).

Day 2 (8:30AM-4:30PM)

• UPCS Deficiencies continued.
• Notice of Industry Standard Repairs (with examples of what is no longer acceptable).
• Health and Safety deficiencies (what you have to fix in 24 hours).
• Industry updates & UPCS-V (all the changes from the last two years).
• Summary of Inspection Process.
• Exam.

This class includes PowerPoint, mock exercises, group discussion, and our spiral UPCS workbook (which includes photographs of all deficiencies, checklists, and important HUD documents).

All those who pass the exam will be issued a certificate of course completion.

This class will be taught by certified inspector Alejandro Dominguez, who has close to twenty years of experience in the industry and has trained staff across the country.

• Industry updates and new protocol (i.e. UPCS-V & NIS).
• Summary of Inspection Process.
• Exam.

This seminar includes PowerPoint, group discussion, and class materials. Class materials include photographs of actual deficiencies, mock inspection exercises, and our custom course binder.

Exam

UPCS Inspectors LLC ensures the quality of the course provided and there is no additional charge for the comprehension examination at the end of the course. Upon successful completion of the exam, students will be issued a certificate of course completion.
